BRIEF HISTORY OF G.S.S ABAGANAGSS AWKA was formed by the Anglican Mission in 1976. According to records, late Chief Anekwe Molokwu was sent by the mission to tour several parts of Nigeria to sensitize people and galvanize support for the school project. In Kano, he met Chief J.N Obuekwe and Chief Chukwuma Anueyiagu. They formed a working/planning committee which includes Ozemena Onyekube, a tutor at D.M.G.S Onitsha who served as secretary, B.O Umerah, S.I Udeozo, D.N Nwadiogbu, Anueyiagu (Snr), J.N Obuekwe, Chukwuma Anuayiagu and Madam Odunze. A forty acre of land known as (Ugwu nwannunu) was given out by Amudo/Amachalla families of Amaenyi of Ameanyi Awka on 7th April, 1966 and the following right-thumbed as signatories on behalf of these families: Madam Anagbigu and Anochili Udenabo signed for Amachalla village while Ozo Nwankwo Ndum, Nwanaro Obu and R.O Okoye signed for Amudo village. Mr.M.E Chukwurah a licensed survey as #2 Anazonwu street Onitsha, did the site plan of the school.
